Prows Partners brings together experience in software architecture, infrastructure, business development, product strategy and communications. We’re an independent, founder-led technology company with a shared belief that AI represents a fundamental change in how software can be built and how businesses can operate.
Our work is focused on making that change useful.
The prow is the forwardmost part of a ship. It’s the part that meets the water first and sets the direction of travel.
Our name represents distinct partners moving forward together, each bringing different capabilities and perspectives to the work. That independence matters. So does the shared direction.
Strong partnerships are built on people bringing different strengths to a common objective. The four prows in our logo represent that idea.
Building technology is one discipline. Understanding how it fits into a business, how people adopt it and how to bring it to market is another. Prows brings those disciplines together.
Our engineering and infrastructure capabilities allow us to approach problems at a technical level. Our product, marketing and business development experience helps us identify the right applications, understand their commercial value and build relationships that bring those applications to market.
Technical development and commercialization run as one conversation here, each informing the other.
Our founding
Prows Partners began with five founders. Ryan Scott was one of them.
Ryan brought more than 25 years of experience in enterprise technology, along with a gift for seeing how ambitious ideas could become useful products. He understood the complexity of building technology for real businesses, but he also understood something equally important: the people behind it. His thinking helped shape our early direction, our products and the kind of company we wanted to build.
Ryan was also our friend. He brought intelligence, humor, curiosity and tremendous passion to what we were creating together. He believed in the possibilities ahead of us, and his enthusiasm was contagious.
We lost Ryan in 2026. While the four of us continue building Prows Partners, this company will always have five founders. His contributions remain part of its foundation, and his friendship is something we carry with us.
There’s a personal connection to Ryan in the name Hedy Assist, too. Ryan called his sister Heather “Hedy.” That nickname became the name of our AI platform, a small but meaningful part of his story that continues in ours.
The technology will keep changing. So will the opportunities. What matters is having the people, capabilities and judgment to build something useful from them. That’s the work we’re here to do.
